Privacy statement
Who we are. 1TABLE STUDIO V.O.F., Tweede Oosterparkstraat 205E, 1092 BJ Amsterdam, the Netherlands. KVK 42129667. BTW NL869856960B01. We are the controller for the personal data described here. Anything about this statement, or any request under it, goes to hello@1tablestudio.com.
What we collect. Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address and your message. We set no cookies of our own, and we run no analytics, advertising or tracking on this site. Our fonts are served from this domain, so simply loading a page sends nothing to any third party.
Where your message goes. The form is handled by Netlify Forms. When you press send, your name, email address and message are posted to Netlify, who store the submission and notify us; we read it there and in our own mailbox. Netlify Technologies, Inc. acts as our processor under a data processing agreement and does not use your details for anything of its own. Netlify is based in the United States, so this involves a transfer outside the EEA, covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. If the send fails for any reason, the form falls back to opening a message in your own email programme, addressed to us, which you send yourself.
Hosting. This site is served by Netlify. Like any web server, theirs records the IP address, time and page of each request in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use those logs for anything else.
Why we have it, and on what basis. To answer you. Where your message asks us to quote or to work together, we process it to take those steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For any other enquiry, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact the studio (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell or share your details, and no one receives them except the processors named above.
How long we keep it. Submissions are deleted from Netlify Forms within three months of the enquiry being answered. In our mailbox, an enquiry that does not lead to work is deleted within twelve months. Where we do work together, the correspondence becomes part of the commercial record and is kept for seven years, as Dutch tax law requires.
Your rights. You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it, or ask us to hand it over in a portable form. Email hello@1tablestudio.com and we will handle it ourselves, within a month. If you are not happy with how we handle it, you are entitled to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Embedded video. Our work is hosted on Vimeo. Nothing is requested from Vimeo when a page loads. A muted preview loads when you hover or tap a card in the work reel, and the full player when you open one; at that point Vimeo receives your IP address in order to send you the video. Every embed runs in Vimeo's do-not-track mode, so Vimeo does not set tracking cookies on these previews or use them to profile you. What Vimeo does with the request is governed by Vimeo's own privacy policy rather than ours.
Links to other sites. Our Instagram, LinkedIn and Vimeo links take you to those companies' own sites, where their policies apply and ours stops.
Changes. If we change how any of this works we will update this statement and the version date above.
